Astronomy Question Time - Monday 16th April 2007 at 19:30

Astronomy Question Time gives you the chance to be part of a public debate on how astronomy and space science has an impact on people's everyday lives. Tickets are required.

During the event you will be able to see a live web feed. Below is an introductory link that allows you to test our system. The feed will become live during the event - 19:30 to 20:30 BST on Monday 16th April.

Expert panel

Our panel of experts includes:

Chris Lintott (Oxford University, Chair)
In addition to co-presenting the BBC Sky at Night programme with Sir Patrick Moore, Dr Chris Lintott has recently completed his doctorate studies and is now a researcher at Oxford University.
Jocelyn Bell Burnell (Oxford University)
World-famous as the discoverer of pulsars, Professor Jocelyn Bell Burnell has followed this with an illustrious career, including being Head of Physics at the Open University, Dean of Science at the University of Bath, and a past President of Royal Astronomical Society.
Don Kurtz (University of Central Lancashire)
Following 30 years working at the University of Cape Town, Professor Don Kurtz came to the NAM 2007 host University in the year 2000. He is a leading worker in the field of observational asteroseismology, enabling us to look inside stars.
Lucie Green (University College London)
As well as being a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow and NESTA Crucible Awardee based at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory, Dr Lucie Green is also an active science communicator and regularly visits schools and societies to talk about the latest discoveries in space.

Tickets required

Tickets are free of charge and will be issued on a first come, first served basis. Note that ticket requests will not be handled through the Astronomy Question Time email address given above. Delegates will need to collect tickets from the conference registration desk.
